BORN TO BE DIFFERENT: CHAPTER 6:
“Mother,” Lightkit mewed softly in the dark. It was night after her meeting with Cobrastrike and Lightkit couldn’t sleep, she couldn’t stop thinking about everything. Why did the clan hate her? Why did her father hate her? What did Cobrastrike mean about scars being deep? And what on earth was a cobra?
MoonOwl shuffled gently and sighed. “Yes my dear?” Her voice was no more than a whisper cut off by a yawn. Lightkit felt bad for waking her and ducked her head before talking.
“Sorry, mom.” She began. “I was just wondering…why does the clan hate me?&

Rowanstar leaped to his paws and called down from his rock to the hunting patrol.
“Is that all the prey you could find?” He questioned with worry. One of the she-cats of the patrol let out a sigh.
“We tried everywhere, Rowanstar.” She mewed. “We really did.”
The leader’s gaze turned sympathetic. “I know Wolftail.” As he spoke, he clambered down from the rock, causing pebbles to fall. As he made his way down, Dirtmuzzle dropped the vole and called out.
“Should I bury it with the pile?”
Rowanstar landed and was shocked

Sunnypaw pushed out her chest and sat a little taller as the chants died away. Her and her brother were now apprentices and her heart swelled with pride when her parents padded over to congratulate their kits.
Pearlnose trotted ahead and licked Sunnypaw's head then moved to lick Stonepaw's.
"Mom! " Stonepaw pushed away in protest. "Stop it."
Sunnypaw noticed he was purring as he spoke. Badgerpelt gently cuffed Stonepaw's ear.
"We are so proud of you two." He told them as he sat beside Pearlnose. "You two will make great Treeclan warriors."
Sunnypaw purred at her father's praise. "Yeah, if Stonepaw doesn't
